Job summary

Coinbase is seeking a Business Operations Senior Associate in the Institutional group. You will partner with senior leadership on high-priority strategic and operational challenges, building quantitative models and business cases to shape product and segment strategy.

You will structure and own end-to-end initiatives, collaborate with Institutional product and sales teams, and translate data into executive-level recommendations that drive measurable improvements in performance and efficiency.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in strategy-related roles with end-to-end ownership.
• Ability to build quantitative models and business cases.
• Familiarity with institutional finance, capital markets, or crypto markets.
• Strong written and verbal communication to senior stakeholders.
• Experience with SQL and BI tools is a plus.
• Responsible use of generative AI with human oversight.

Responsibilities

• Structure complex, ambiguous strategic problems for Coinbase's leadership team and develop actionable recommendations backed by data and quantitative modeling.
• Build business cases and financial models that identify new opportunities and directly inform Institutional product and go-to-market strategy.
• Develop and maintain a deep understanding of competitive positioning, peer benchmarks, and the evolving crypto landscape to sharpen strategic recommendations.
• Design and implement experiments to validate hypotheses, measure impact, and drive measurable changes across Institutional products.
• Own problems end-to-end, from initial framing through analysis, recommendation, and implementation, not just the slide deck.
• Strengthen team capabilities by improving existing processes, frameworks, and operational tooling.
