Job summary

LR Squared is seeking a Senior Pre-Sales Systems Engineer to understand customer challenges and tailor storage and data management solutions. You will work with the sales team, showcasing product value, leading demonstrations, and driving technical wins.

Candidates should have extensive experience in enterprise storage, networking, and cloud environments, with strong NFS/Linux knowledge, VMware/networking skills, and comfort with containerized architectures. Excellent communication is essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of pre-sales experience in data storage/management.
• Extensive experience selling enterprise storage, networking, cloud, or software to enterprise accounts.
• Deep understanding of multi-tier client/server and web-based computing solutions.
• Must have experience with NFS.
• Lead responses to RFPs, RFQs and RFIs.
• Knowledge of current and emerging storage architectures (FC, iSCSI, NAS, NFS, SAN).
• Experience with Linux, NFS file systems and Linux distributed network environments.
• Knowledge of VMware, Local Area Networking, Ethernet, TCP/IP.
• Familiarity with AWS, Azure, GCP a plus.
• Familiarity with containers, Kubernetes and microservices architectures a plus.
• Interest in technology and ability to explain new platforms to customers.
• Knowledge of storage-intensive apps (SQL, Oracle) desirable.
• Excellent verbal and written interpersonal skills.

• Promote roadmap alignment and alliance planning.
• Produce materials to support alliance plans and competitive positioning.
• Stay current with competition and market trends to drive thought leadership.
