Job summary

Quantum Corporation is seeking a PreSales Engineer to lead technical aspects of pre-sales opportunities, translating customer requirements into storage architectures that span primary disk, object storage, archive, and tape. You will present solutions to customers and collaborate with the sales team to drive technical buy-in and successful deployments.

Qualifications

• Vendor-side, customer-facing pre-sales engineering or solutions architecture in data storage.
• Working knowledge of NAS, SAN, DAS, object storage, and software-defined storage.
• Experience with backup, data protection, and information lifecycle management.
• Proficiency in Visio for architecture diagrams.
• Familiarity with various OS environments (Mac, UNIX, Linux, Windows).
• Based in Toronto or Montreal; bilingual French and English preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify customer requirements and translate them into reference architectures and solution designs.
• Create detailed system designs, Visio diagrams, and technical briefs for proposals.
• Deliver technical presentations and demonstrations showing interoperability with third-party products.
• Contribute to RFIs and RFPs with technical input.
• Build long-term relationships with customers and channel partners.
