Job summary

CoreWeave is seeking a Senior Specialist Field Engineer for Storage to design and optimize storage architectures for AI workloads, spanning shared filesystems, object storage, and NVMe caching. You will work closely with Storage engineering to translate field learnings into product improvements.

Responsibilities include leading customer workshops and PoCs, troubleshooting complex I/O patterns, and collaborating with engineers to ensure scalable, reliable performance across data centers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years building or operating large-scale storage systems in storage-focused roles.
• Solid knowledge of NFS (v3/v4) and S3-compatible object storage.
• Hands-on with distributed/parallel filesystems (e.g., Lustre, Spectrum Scale).
• Understanding of Kubernetes storage (CSI drivers, PVs, PVCs, StorageClasses).
• Ability to benchmark with fio and interpret results.

Responsibilities

• Design storage architectures for complex customers, including shared filesystems, object storage, and multi-tenant setups.
• Troubleshoot end-to-end from application IO patterns to storage networks and clusters.
• Identify product gaps and collaborate with engineering to address real workloads.
• Lead customer tech overviews, PoCs, and workshops, with occasional travel.
