Job summary

CoreWeave is hiring for a senior storage systems engineer to design and implement scalable, high-performance storage for AI workloads. You will work on distributed object storage, S3-compatible systems, and integration with diverse environments.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve reliability, observability, and performance, using Go/C/Rust, Kubernetes, and telemetry tools. A strong background in Ceph/DAOS and RDMA is highly valued.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in storage systems engineering or infrastructure.
• Hands-on with object storage or distributed filesystems in production environments.
• Experience with storage protocols (S3, NFS) and file systems (Ceph, DAOS).
• Proficiency in Go, C, or Rust for systems programming.
• Familiarity with storage observability tools and telemetry pipelines (Prometheus, Grafana, ClickHouse).
• Experience with cloud-native infra, Kubernetes, and scalable architectures.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement distributed storage solutions to support scaling AI workloads.
• Develop exabyte-scale, S3-compatible object storage and integrate storage clusters into diverse environments.
• Work with RDMA, GPU Direct Storage, and distributed FS protocols to optimize performance.
• Lead efforts to improve reliability, durability, security, and observability of the storage stack.
• Collaborate with operations to monitor, troubleshoot, and improve production storage systems.
• Establish metrics and dashboards to monitor storage performance and health.
• Analyze telemetry to drive throughput, latency, and resilience improvements.
• Collaborate with platform, product, and infra teams to deliver storage across the stack.
• Mentor engineers on best practices for distributed high-performance systems.
