CoreWeave, The Essential Cloud for AI, is seeking an experienced Storage Systems engineer to design and implement distributed storage for AI workloads. You will work on exabyte-scale, S3-compatible storage, integrating dedicated clusters into diverse customer environments and optimizing performance with RDMA and distributed FS protocols.

You will influence reliability, security, and observability of the storage stack while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• 8–10+ years of experience in storage systems engineering or infrastructure.
• Strong hands-on experience with object storage or distributed filesystems in production.
• Proficiency with storage protocols (S3, NFS) and filesystems (Ceph, DAOS).
• Proficiency in Go, C, or Rust.
• Experience with storage observability tools and telemetry pipelines (Prometheus, Grafana).
• Experience with cloud-native infrastructure, Kubernetes, and scalable architectures.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement distributed storage solutions for scaling AI workloads.
• Develop exabyte-scale, S3-compatible object storage and integrate clusters into customer environments.
• Work with RDMA, GPU Direct Storage, and distributed FS protocols to optimize performance.
• Improve reliability, durability, security, and observability of the storage stack.
• Collaborate with operations to monitor, troubleshoot, and improve storage systems in production.
• Develop metrics and dashboards to provide storage performance visibility.
• Analyze telemetry to drive throughput, latency, and resilience improvements.
• Mentor engineers on best practices for building high-performance distributed systems.
