Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in software or infrastructure engineering.
• Strong Linux kernel, internals, and system administration knowledge.
• Expertise with KVM/QEMU and nested virtualization.
• Experience designing, developing and deploying scalable software at scale.

Responsibilities

• Architecting, developing, testing, and distributing changes to software, services, and tools for Akamai hardware platforms.
• Designing enhancements to HIVE observability infrastructure to detect issues early.
• Developing subject matter expertise in HIVE components and mentoring the team.
• Identifying and implementing automation best practices for existing products and processes.
• Collaborating with support, operations and engineering teams to troubleshoot complex problems.
• Participating in on-call rotations and guiding restoration of service-impacting issues.
