Job summary

Akamai Technologies is seeking a Senior II Site Reliability Engineer Lead to join the Site Reliability team, focusing on Akamai's Cloud hypervisor host technologies. You will architect, develop, and maintain software and infrastructure for hardware platforms, including ARM architectures such as NVIDIA Grace.

You will mentor the team, enhance observability, and drive automation across large-scale distributed systems, while collaborating with cross-functional groups and participating in on-call

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in SRE/DevOps or similar.

Responsibilities

• Architect, develop, test, and distribute changes to software, services and tools for hardware platforms delivered by the HIVE team.
• Design and implement enhancements to HIVE observability infrastructure to preempt customer impact.
• Develop subject matter expertise in HIVE components and mentor the team.
• Identify and implement automation best practices for existing products and processes.
• Collaborate with support, operations and engineering to investigate and troubleshoot complex problems.
• Participate in on-call rotations, guiding restoration of service-impacting issues.
