Job summary

UnitedMasters is seeking a Senior SRE/Platform Engineer to own production reliability and security with a focus on agentic, AI-driven pipelines. You will partner across engineering teams to design and deploy tooling, monitoring, and incident response that scales with the platform.

You will lead security conversations, embed secure-by-default patterns, and coach peer developers to raise the bar on reliability and security across the org.

Qualifications

• Senior-to-staff experience in SRE/platform/infrastructure engineering.
• Hands-on security leadership across systems without a separate security team.
• Practical work with LLMs and agentic systems and failure modes.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals applied to tooling.
• Coaching instinct to raise teams' capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Partner with platform, data, QA, and product teams to understand automation, infra, monitoring, and security needs.
• Build tooling and processes to address those needs.
• Develop an agentic vulnerability detection and mitigation pipeline with guardrails.
• Integrate security into the development lifecycle with threat modeling and supply-chain hygiene.
• Lead security and reliability incident response as a core operational concern.
• Define and help teams set SLAs, SLOs, and error budgets.
• Steer system design toward reusable tooling for reliability, scalability, and security.
• Join on-call rotation and coach on response.
• Act as senior escalation for infra/security issues and mentor teams.
