Elsevier seeks a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to ensure the reliability, scalability, and performance of critical platforms. You will lead reliability initiatives, drive automation, and reduce operational toil.

Work with observability, incident response, and AI tooling deployment to improve availability. You will collaborate with engineering teams to fit real workflows and support handover after squads move on.

Qualificações

• Advanced Terraform: modules, state management, drift detection, safe refactoring, remote state handling.
• AWS Operations: multi-account, multi-region environments across ECS, RDS, S3, Lambda, DynamoDB, SQS, Secrets Manager, KMS, CloudWatch.
• GitHub Actions CI/CD: reusable workflows, OIDC, gates, runners, deployments.
• ECS Fargate & Containers: Docker, ECR, ECS definitions, IAM roles, health checks, autoscaling, ALB integration.
• AWS Networking & Security: VPCs, Route53, ACM/TLS, IAM, OIDC, Secrets Manager, KMS, security best practices.
• Incident Response & Observability: logs, metrics, alarms, RCAs, rollback decisions, runbooks.
• Linux & Automation: Bash/Python scripting for AWS CLI, CI/CD, tooling.
• AI Tooling Deployment: integrating AI services in production with monitoring and security.
• Developer Enablement: support multiple teams, document solutions, enable secure self-service.

Responsabilidades

• Creating monitoring queries and establishing service level baselines.
• Supporting senior engineers during incidents.
• Contributing to post-mortems and RCAs.
• Participating in disaster recovery tests.
• Implementing automation and executing code in production environments.
• Contributing to SRE knowledge documentation.
• Supporting deployment, monitoring, and reliability of services integrating AI tools.
• Supporting architecture and senior engineers in topology drawings and deployment workflows.
• Carrying out testing of availability, reliability, and recoverability in non-production environments.
