Job summary

Fuze Health Inc. seeks a Senior Database Administrator to lead the Hospice care services platform's database modernization. You will drive SQL Server on EC2 migrations to AWS RDS, modernize SSIS/SSRS workloads, and optimize costs.

You will mentor a team and implement cloud-native monitoring, backups, and DR offerings across the U.S. The role requires extensive SQL Server expertise, HIPAA/HITRUST experience, and collaboration with DevOps on Terraform-based infrastructure.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of database administration experience.
• Deep expertise with Microsoft SQL Server (2016+) performance tuning, high availability, disaster recovery.
• Experience with SQL Server upgrades and end-of-support migrations.
• Strong SSIS/SSRS development and migration experience.
• Experience with AWS RDS (SQL Server) and multi-AZ deployments.
• Familiarity with AWS ETL tools and planning modernizations (DMS/Glue).
• Backup/restore strategies and point-in-time recovery knowledge.
• HIPAA/HITRUST regulatory experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead SQL Server modernization on EC2 and migration to AWS RDS.
• Migrate and maintain SSIS ETL and SSRS reports, re-platforming as needed.
• Drive database cost optimization and right-sizing.
• Upskill Hospice SQL DBA team on AWS database operations.
• Establish cloud-native monitoring with Datadog and CloudWatch.
• Design automated backup, restore and disaster recovery processes.
• Collaborate with DevOps on Terraform for RDS infrastructure.
• Ensure HITRUST E1 compliance across database systems.
