Job summary

Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Wesley Chapel seeks a Senior Speech Language Pathologist to lead patient care and program development. You will guide a team, mentor staff, and deliver compassionate, personalized therapy in a supportive setting.

Ideal candidates hold a state SLP license, CCC, CPR within 30 days, and 2+ years of experience; leadership and education roles are emphasized within our inpatient rehabilitation network.

Qualifications

• Current licensure or certification required by state regulations.
• CCC certification completed or in good standing.
• CPR certification required or must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Bachelor's degree in speech therapy or management; Master's/Doctorate preferred.
• Minimum of two years speech language pathology experience.
• Active on Therapy Clinical Ladder or specialty professional certifications when eligible.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to patients and build rewarding relationships to aid recovery.
• Assist with speech language in-service education and student programs.
• Mentor and train new colleagues and other departments as needed.
• Delegate and supervise speech therapy assistants and technicians.
• Celebrate patient victories along the way.
