Job summary

Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Wesley Chapel seeks a Senior Speech Language Pathologist to lead patient care teams, guide treatment planning, and mentor staff. You will apply expert communication therapy to help patients recover and regain independence in daily life.

Qualifications

• Current state licensure or certification required.
• CCC certification required.
• CPR certification required or must be obtained within 30 days.
• Bachelor's in speech therapy/management; master's/doctorate preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of SLP experience.
• Active on Therapy Clinical Ladder or specialty certifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and build rewarding relationships by understanding each patient’s physical, mental, and emotional needs to aid in their recovery.
• Assist with speech language in-service education and our speech language pathologist student program.
• Mentor and train new colleagues and other departments as needed.
• Delegate and supervise speech therapy assistants and technicians.
• Celebrate patient victories along the way.
