Job summary

Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Wesley Chapel is seeking a Senior Speech Language Pathologist to lead patient care and guide the SLP team. You will direct treatment, mentor colleagues, and support education across departments in a collaborative inpatient setting.

You will bring CCC certification, a state license, and experience in rehabilitation. This role emphasizes leadership, clinical excellence, and a commitment to patient-centered recovery.

Qualifications

• Current state licensure in Speech Therapy according to regulations.
• CCC certification completed or in good standing.
• CPR certification required or obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Bachelor's degree in speech therapy or management; advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum two years of speech language pathology experience.
• Active on Therapy Clinical Ladder or specialty certifications when eligible.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and build rewarding therapeutic relationships.
• Lead and mentor colleagues, and train other departments as needed.
• Supervise speech therapy assistants and technicians on the team.
• Support in-service education and student programs for SLPs.
• Celebrate patient progress and outcomes throughout rehabilitation.
