Job summary

Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Wesley Chapel is seeking a Senior Speech Language Pathologist to lead patient-centered care and guide a team of SLPs through advanced rehabilitation programs.

You will supervise SLP staff, participate in education programs, and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes in a nationwide rehabilitation leader.

Qualifications

• Current licensure or certification required by state regulations.
• CCC certification (ASHA) required.
• CPR certification required or obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Bachelor's degree in speech therapy or management; advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum of two years' speech language pathology experience.
• Active on Therapy Clinical Ladder or with specialty certifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and build rewarding patient relationships through personalized assessment and treatment.
• Lead and mentor the speech-language pathology team and supervise assistants as needed.
• Assist with SLP in-service education and student programs.
• Collaborate across departments to support rehab goals and program development.
• Celebrate patient victories and progress throughout recovery.
