Job summary

Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Wesley Chapel is seeking a Senior Speech Language Pathologist to lead a team in delivering compassionate, patient-centered care for speech and communication disorders. You will mentor staff, contribute to in-service education, and support patient rehabilitation using advanced technology within a collaborative environment.

The role requires active state licensure, CCC certification, CPR or MSP within 30 days, and a minimum of two years of SLP

Qualifications

• Current licensure or certification required by state regulations.
• CCC certification required as part of credentialing.
• CPR certification required or must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Bachelor's degree in speech therapy or management; advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum of two years of speech-language pathology experience.
• Active on Therapy Clinical Ladder or specialty professional certifications when eligible.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to patients and build rewarding patient relationships.
• Assist with speech-language in-service education and student programs.
• Mentor and train new colleagues and other departments as needed.
• Delegate and supervise speech therapy assistants and technicians.
