Job summary

Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Wesley Chapel, a national inpatient rehabilitation leader, seeks a Senior Speech Language Pathologist to lead patient care and guide our SLPT team. You will deliver direct care, mentor colleagues, and coordinate education initiatives to support recovery and growth.

Qualifications

• Current licensure or certification required by state regulations.
• Certification: CCC (ASHA) required or preferred.
• CPR certification required or must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Bachelor's degree in speech therapy or management; advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum of two years speech language pathology experience.
• Active on Therapy Clinical Ladder or specialty professional certifications.

Responsibilities

• Providing direct care to patients and building rewarding relationships by understanding each patient's physical, mental, and emotional needs to aid in their recovery.
• Assisting with speech language in-service education and our speech language pathologist student program.
• Mentoring and training new colleagues and other departments as needed.
• Delegating and supervising speech therapy assistants and technicians.
• Celebrating patient victories along the way.
