Job summary

Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Wesley Chapel is seeking a Senior Speech Language Pathologist to lead and provide direct patient care, guiding a team through speech and communication rehabilitation. The role emphasizes compassionate, personalized care and leadership within a national inpatient rehabilitation leader.

Qualifications

• Current state licensure in Speech Therapy is required.
• CCC certification is required.
• CPR/BLS certification is required or must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Bachelor's degree in speech therapy or management; Master's or Doctorate degree preferred.
• Minimum of two years speech language pathology experience.
• Active on Therapy Clinical Ladder or related specialty certifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to patients and build rewarding relationships by understanding each patient's needs to aid in recovery.
• Assist with speech language in-service education and our speech language pathologist student program.
• Mentor and train new colleagues and other departments as needed.
• Delegate and supervise speech therapy assistants and technicians.
• Celebrate patient victories along the way.

Education

Bachelor's degree in speech therapy or management

Master's or Doctorate degree preferred

CCC certification (ASHA)

CPR/BLS certification

Current state licensure in Speech Therapy

Two years of experience in speech-language pathology
