Job summary

Truist is seeking an experienced credit professional in Charlotte, NC to oversee underwriting of complex loan portfolios and to drive sound risk decisions. The role involves coordinating with risk management and client managers to ensure policy adherence and profitability.

You will develop and interpret advanced financial models, assess credit structures, and mentor junior staff while maintaining audit readiness and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent education.
• 10+ years of experience in commercial lending and/or credit experience.
• Strong knowledge of underwriting, regulatory requirements, and risk assessment.

Responsibilities

• Manage a classified loan portfolio with complex credit structures.
• Develop and challenge advanced financial models to support credit decisions.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external restructuring professionals.
• Assign and document risk grades per policy and regulatory guidance.
• Prepare impairment and regulatory reporting with precision.
• Support underwriting and risk assessment in large, complex segments.
