Job summary

Truist is seeking a seasoned Commercial Underwriter for Dealer Services in Charlotte. You will lead the underwriting of complex deals, manage risk, and coordinate with investment banking partners to deliver financing solutions for diverse clients.

The role requires 5+ years in commercial credit analysis, strong MS Office skills, and excellent communication. Expect regulatory compliance emphasis and a collaborative deal-team environment within a major banking group.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or related field and at least 5+ years of related training and experience in commercial/Dealer Services credit analysis.
• Mastery level proficiency with MS Office Desktop applications.
• Strong interpersonal skills and solid written/verbal communication are essential.
• Sound credit skills essential.
• Must have strong attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritize workflow in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Underwriting: leads the entire commercial underwriting process; analyzes and structures all prospect and client transactions; manages complex deals and large credit relationships.
• Portfolio Management: monitors portfolio performance, defines client credit solutions, and ensures risk rating integrity.
• Client Calling Effort: expands client relationships and develops solutions within policy and risk criteria.
• Subject Matter Expertise: collaborates with Investment Banking to deliver financing solutions and stays current on market trends.
• Deal Team Management: coordinates with Associates and Analysts; provides mentorship and performance reviews.
• Span of Control: communicates with Clients, Portfolio Management, Relationship Managers, Credit Risk, and audit partners.
