Job summary

F5 in Minnesota is seeking an experienced leader to manage all aspects of the Solutions Engineering team within the F5 Tech vertical, with a focus on technical sales. You will set objectives, delegate work, and ensure the SE organization is scalable to meet company goals.

You will partner with management on headcount planning, recruit in collaboration with HR, and drive product requirements, customer success, and strategic initiatives.

Qualifications

• BS or BA degree required or relevant work experience.
• Several years' experience managing technical SEs in a management role.
• Thorough understanding of networking technologies and applications delivery.
• Strong interpersonal and presentation skills.
• Ability to persuade direct reports and others outside the organization.
• Ability to communicate with all levels within an organization.

Responsibilities

• Uphold the Business Code of Ethics and report violations.
• Manage the SE team: evaluations, PTO, delegations, training, coaching, performance plans, and interviews.
• Define core FY objectives, strategy and priorities for Engineers in the SE Team.
• Collaborate with management to plan headcounts quarterly and yearly for scalability.
• Manage candidate recruitment in collaboration with HR.
• Develop and maintain SE organization to meet/exceed goals.
• Develop SE partner plan with PS, support, Marketing, PM, etc.
• Scale SE organization to meet objectives and retain talent.
• Ensure SE is customer focused: drive product requirements and market trends.
• Communicate market trends to Sales, PM, PD, etc.
• Provide product feasibility analysis in support of sales efforts.
