Job summary

F5 is seeking a senior leader to manage the Solutions Engineering team within the F5 Tech vertical, focusing on technical sales and organizational effectiveness. You will define objectives, plan headcounts, and partner with HR to scale capabilities to meet ambitious goals.

You will drive strategy, mentor engineers, and present F5 solutions and roadmap to customers. Strong networking knowledge and executive communication are essential for success.

Qualifications

• BS or BA degree required or relevant work experience.
• Several years' experience managing technical SEs in a management role.
• Thorough understanding of networking technologies and applications delivery.
• Strong interpersonal and presentation skills with the ability to articulate complex technologies.
• Self-motivated with ability to influence across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Uphold the Business Code of Ethics and report violations promptly.
• Manage the SE team: performance evaluations, PTO approvals, training, and staffing.
• Set objectives, strategy, and priorities for Engineers in the SE Team.
• Collaborate with HR to plan headcounts quarterly and yearly.
• Develop SE organizational structure to meet goals and recruit effectively.
• Create and maintain SE partner plans with PS, support, Marketing, PM, etc.
• Drive strategic planning to scale the SE organization and retention.
• Identify market trends and communicate with PM/PD; ensure customer focus.
• Present F5 strategy, solutions, and roadmap to customers/partners.
• Provide product feasibility analysis to support sales efforts.
