Job summary

F5 is seeking a senior leader to manage the Solutions Engineering team within the F5 Tech vertical, focusing on technical sales. You will set objectives, delegate work, and ensure the SE organization is fit for purpose to meet company goals.

The role requires managing performance, defining headcounts, recruiting with HR, developing talent, and aligning SE activities with product strategy and customer success.

Qualifications

• BS or BA degree required or relevant work experience.
• A number of years' experience managing technical SEs in a management role.
• Thorough understanding of networking technologies and applications delivery.
• Strong interpersonal and presentation skills with the ability to articulate complex technologies.
• Self-motivated and able to persuade direct reports and others outside the organization.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with all levels within an organization.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for upholding F5’s Business Code of Ethics and reporting violations.
• Manage the SE team including performance evaluations, PTO, delegating work, training, guidance, and candidate interviews.
• Define core FY objectives, strategy and priorities for Engineers for the SE Team.
• Partner with management to define headcounts quarterly and yearly.
• Manage candidate recruitments in collaboration with HR.
• Develop and organize SE organization to meet/exceed goals, including development.
• Develop and maintain an effective SE partner plan (PS, support, Marketing, PM).
• Scale the SE organization to meet objectives and plan retention and career growth.
• Ensure SE team is customer focused and drive product requirements with PM/PD.
• Provide product feasibility analysis to support sales efforts with reps.
