Job summary

F5 is seeking a Senior Solutions Engineering Manager to lead the SE team within the F5 Tech vertical, focusing on technical sales. You will set objectives, mentor engineers, and ensure the SE organization is fit for purpose to meet company goals.

You’ll manage recruitment, performance, and organizational development, driving strategy, headcount planning, and customer-centric solutions. Remote work is supported and collaboration across functions is essential.

Qualifications

• BS or BA degree required or relevant work experience.
• Several years of experience managing technical SEs in a management role.
• Thorough understanding of networking technologies and applications delivery.
• Strong interpersonal and presentation skills with the ability to articulate complex technologies.
• Self-motivated with the ability to persuade direct reports and others outside the organization.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate with all levels within an organization.

Responsibilities

• Uphold the Business Code of Ethics and report violations promptly.
• Manage the SE team: performance reviews, PTO approvals, assignments, training, guidance, and recruitment.
• Define core FY objectives, strategy and priorities for SE Engineers.
• Collaborate with management to plan headcounts quarterly/yearly for scalability.
• Develop and maintain an effective SE partner plan with PS, support, marketing, PM, etc.
• Ensure SE organization is customer focused and aligns with product requirements.
