Job summary

F5 is seeking a Senior Solutions Engineering Manager to lead the SE team within the F5 Tech vertical, focusing on technical sales. You will establish objectives, delegate work, and ensure the SE organization achieves company goals while aligning with customer needs and market trends.

You will drive strategic planning, headcount, and partner programs, while managing post-sales collaboration with support and sales teams to ensure customer success.

Qualifications

• BS or BA degree required or relevant work experience.
• Experience managing technical SEs in a management role.
• Strong understanding of networking technologies and applications delivery.

Responsibilities

• Uphold F5’s Business Code of Ethics and report violations.
• Manage SE team: performance evaluations, PTO, delegating work, on-the-job training, staff guidance, performance improvement plans, disciplinary actions, and hiring.
• Define core FY objectives, strategy and priorities for Engineers for the SE Team.
• Plan headcounts quarterly and yearly to ensure SE organization is scalable to meet goals.
• Lead candidate recruitments in collaboration with HR.
• Develop and maintain an effective SE partner plan (PS, support, Marketing, PM).
• Strategic planning to scale the SE organization and develop retention and career paths.
• Ensure SE team is customer focused; drive product requirements and communicate market trends.
• Identify competition and provide product feasibility analysis in support of sales.
• Present F5 strategy, solution messaging and roadmap to customers/partners.
