Job summary

Akamai Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Principal Enterprise Architect to lead and deliver public sector solutions across Akamai's cloud, security, and edge portfolio.

You will guide technical strategy, develop proposals, and coordinate with product, engineering, and sales teams to meet government mission needs. You will engage with federal and defense customers, speak at industry events, and shape solutions that balance security, performance, and scale.

Qualifications

• 15 years of relevant experience in technical architecture in the public sector.
• Experience contributing to technical proposals, white papers, and RFP/RFI responses.
• Strong technical presentation skills with industry event/public talks.
• Ability to build trusted relationships with government customers and partners.
• Willingness to challenge the status quo and innovate to deliver solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead and contribute to technical sections of public sector proposals and white papers.
• Serve as a public-facing technical expert at industry events, conferences, and webinars.
• Engage with public sector customers to understand mission-critical needs.
• Collaborate with product management, engineering, and sales teams.
• Represent Akamai as a thought leader on cloud security, edge computing, and web app protection.
• Lead technical solution development, stitching Akamai portfolio to meet public sector missions.
