Job summary

Cloudera seeks a Senior Solutions Engineer in a customer-facing role to own the technical sales process and design solutions using Cloudera technologies. You will partner with Account Managers and demonstrate products to drive customer decisions.

With 8+ years in pre-sales and a passion for data, you will craft architectures, present roadmaps, and ensure customer success. This remote-friendly role offers comprehensive benefits and a strong compensation plan.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
8+ years in a pre-sales customer facing role (Solutions Engineer, Sales Engineer, technical consultant, or similar).
Ability to create and deliver technical presentations and demos.
Experience with Big Data, cloud providers, Data Engineering/Data Science/ML, and governance.
Experience gathering and understanding customer business requirements.
Excellent written and verbal communication.
Problem solving skills and a willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

Own the technical sales process from introductory meetings through post-sales satisfaction.
Support the technical needs of customers and discover new use cases.
Design solutions using Cloudera technologies based on reference architectures.
Demonstrate Cloudera products to inspire customers to say yes.
Partner with Account Managers to show value and drive renewals.
Present product roadmap and vision to inspire broader thinking.
Interface with Cloudera teams to align messaging.
Advocate for customers with Product Management and Engineering.
Participate in external publicity, conferences, meetups, webinars, blogs.
Align achievements with team goals and sales targets.
