Job summary

Cloudera is seeking a Senior Solutions Engineer focused on Healthcare and Life Sciences. You will own the technical sales process from introductory meetings through post-sales activities, driving adoption of Cloudera’s data and AI platform in regulated environments.

You will design solutions for customer needs, deliver compelling demonstrations, partner with Account Managers, and present roadmap visions to customers. Travel domestically and internationally as required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years in a customer-facing role, ideally in a pre-sales context.
• Ability to create and give technical presentations and demonstrations.
• Experience with Big Data, Data Warehousing or Relational Databases.
• One or more cloud providers (AWS, Azure or GCP).
• Data Engineering, Data Science or Machine Learning experience.
• Operations, Security and Data Governance knowledge.
• Unix or Linux proficiency.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
• Four year degree from accredited university.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical sales process from introductory meetings through post-sales activities.
• Discovery of new use cases for Cloudera's technology.
• Designing solutions for customer needs using Cloudera tech based on reference architectures.
• Demonstrating Cloudera products to inspire customer buy-in.
• Collaborating with Account Managers to show value and drive sales.
• Presenting product roadmap and vision to customers.
• Coordinating with other Cloudera teams to present a single voice.
• Advocating for customer needs with Product Management and Engineering.
• Participating in external publicity and evangelism (conferences, webinars, blogs)
