Job summary

Cloudera Government Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Senior Solutions Engineer to own the technical sales process for federal civilian agencies, translating complex data needs into compelling data solutions.

You will design architectures, demonstrate products, and collaborate with account teams to secure technical wins and customer success. You will lead with strong technical presentation skills, deep data and cloud experience, and a passion for enabling government missions.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years experience in a customer-facing role, ideally in a pre-sales context.
• Ability to create and give technical presentations and demonstrations.
• Experience with Big Data, Data Warehousing, or Relational Databases; Data Engineering/Data Science/ML.
• Experience with one or more cloud providers (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Knowledge of federal civilian agencies and their data/analytic needs.
• Familiarity with security and regulatory frameworks (FISMA, RMF, NIST SP 800-53, FIPS 140, FedRAMP, STIG).
• Clearance preferred (DOE Q clearance).

Responsibilities

• Own the technical sales process from introductory meetings through post-sales.
• Support the technical needs of customers including discovering new use cases for Cloudera technology.
• Design solutions using Cloudera technologies based on reference architectures.
• Demonstrate Cloudera products to inspire customer buy-in.
• Partner with Account Managers to show value and drive renewals.
• Present product roadmap and vision to clients to expand scope.
• Coordinate with other Cloudera teams to maintain a single voice for customers.
• Advocate for customer needs to Product Management and Engineering.
• Participate in external publicity (conferences, webinars, blogs).
