Job summary

Cloudera Government Solutions, Inc. seeks a Senior Solutions Engineer (SLED) to lead the technical sales process for state, local, and higher education customers.

You will design solutions, deliver compelling presentations, and drive technical wins across agencies and missions. Ideal candidates have 8+ years in customer-facing roles, strong cloud and data tech skills, and the ability to articulate complex concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in a customer-facing role, preferably pre-sales
• Ability to create and give technical presentations and demonstrations
• Experience with Big Data, Data Warehousing, or Relational Databases
• Experience with Data Eng/Science/ML and DevOps or cloud platforms
• Knowledge of US Public Sector regulations (FISMA, RMF, NIST SP 800-53, FedRAMP, etc)
• Ability to translate customer needs into Cloudera solutions and win technical approvals

Responsibilities

• Own the technical sales process from initial meetings to post-sale success
• Support technical needs of customers and discover new use cases for Cloudera
• Design customer solutions using reference architectures and patterns
• Demonstrate Cloudera products to inspire customer adoption
• Partner with Account Managers to show value and drive renewals
• Present product roadmaps and visions to customers
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure a single Cloudera voice
• Advocate for customer needs with Product Management and Engineering
• Engage in external events and evangelism
