Cloudera Government Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Senior Solutions Engineer (IC5) for the SLED sector.

This role leads the technical sales process, designs solutions with Cloudera technologies, and demonstrates capabilities to secure technical wins while nurturing ongoing customer relationships across State, Local, and Higher Education agencies. The Senior Solutions Engineer will align with account teams, present roadmaps, and participate in public sector evangelism, conferences, and events to

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years experience in a customer-facing role, ideally in a pre-sales context.
• Ability to create and give technical presentations and demonstrations.
• Experience with Big Data, Data Warehousing or Relational Databases.
• Experience with Data Engineering, Data Science or Machine Learning.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical sales process from introductory meetings through post-sales.
• Support the technical needs of customers including discovering new use cases.
• Design solutions using Cloudera technologies based on reference architectures and patterns.
• Demonstrate Cloudera products to inspire customer decisions.
• Partner with Account Managers to show value and drive successful sales.
• Present product roadmap and vision to inspire broader thinking.
• Interface with other Cloudera teams to present a single voice to customers.
• Advocate for customers’ needs to Product Management and Engineering.
• Participate in external publicity and evangelism (conferences, meetups, webinars, blogs).
