Job summary

Alkira, a Lumen Connect solution, is seeking a Senior Solutions Engineer, Pre-Sales (West Coast) to lead the technical side of large enterprise deals from first conversation through POC to close. This remote US role requires residency on the East Coast and travel around 25%.

You’ll partner with an Account Manager on strategy and influence the roadmap by feeding field feedback. You’ll demonstrate the Alkira platform to engineers up to CIOs and shape deployments with best practices.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in a customer-facing pre-sales engineering role — Sales Engineer, Systems Engineer, Solutions Consultant or Solutions Architect.
• Strong networking fundamentals and hands-on experience with routing protocols.
• Experience with SD-WAN, network virtualization and cloud connectivity.
• Ability to lead POCs, respond to RFIs and present to diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Present and demonstrate the Alkira platform to technical decision makers.
• Articulate Alkira's value proposition and industry context.
• Partner with Account Managers to understand requirements and assist with RFIs.
• Scope, run and win Proof of Concepts end to end.
• Assist with design and deployment based on best practices.
• Provide customer feedback to Product Management and track feature requests.
