CAI is seeking a Senior Solutions Consultant to serve as a pre‑sales technical architect and proposal writer across IT service lines, spanning ITSM, Service Desk, ServiceNow, Atlassian/Jira Service Management, AMS/ASO, and Cloud architectures. This remote, full‑time role partners with BD, Capture and Delivery leadership to translate client requirements into winning solutions.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in business or a technical field, or equivalent professional experience.
5+ years of experience in IT services, with significant experience evaluating RFPs and creating SOWs, and time spent in a pre‑sales, solutions architecture, or proposal development role.
Demonstrated ability to design and articulate solutions across ITSM/ITIL, ServiceNow, Atlassian/Jira Service Management, Cloud platforms (AWS or Azure), and Infrastructure/Network services.
Proven track record writing technical proposal content for government and/or commercial RFPs.
Strong understanding of managed services delivery models, staffing/pricing constructs, and SLA design.
Significant experience in written and verbal communications; fluency in English with high proficiency in articulating strategy to executive and non‑technical audiences.
Ability to summarize technical/business material with charts, graphs, and diagrams; strong visual design skills.
Power user of Microsoft Word and other Office products.
Experience working cross‑functionally with capture managers, proposal writers, delivery leads, and partner/alliance teams.

Responsibilities

Evaluate and/or qualify opportunities for new business, including leveraging CAI collateral and developing/supporting new lines of business.
Serve as the lead solution architect for pre‑sales pursuits, translating RFP/RFI requirements into differentiated, compliant technical and staffing solutions.
Partner with stakeholders to develop and evaluate CAI strategy for a given pursuit.
Design and document end‑to‑end solutions across ITSM/ITIL processes, Service Desk operations, ServiceNow and Atlassian/JSM platforms, AMS/ASO, Cloud architectures, and Infrastructure/Network environments.
Work with CAI technical and business staff to devise an approach to position CAI as the preferred vendor, and to outline high‑level diagrams and presentations.
Write and edit proposal content — technical narratives, solution overviews, staffing plans, transition/transformation approaches, and pricing assumptions — with proposal writers and capture managers.
Lead or support solutioning workshops with capture teams, SMEs, and delivery leads to shape win themes and differentiators.
Partner with partner/alliance teams (ServiceNow, Atlassian, AWS, Microsoft, TalkDesk or others) to incorporate platform capabilities into proposed solutions.
Contain solution risk by identifying cost items, documenting assumptions, and interpreting requirements to CAI while meeting client deliverables.
Develop and maintain reusable solution assets: battlecards, reference architectures, staffing models, pricing templates, and past‑performance narratives.
Support orals/BAFO preparation, client presentations, and executive briefings with defensible technical positioning.
Provide technical review and quality control on proposal volumes prior to submission.
Multi‑task to support multiple initiatives.
Advise stakeholders at all levels — mentoring other solutions consultants, advising CAI leadership, and guiding CAI governance teams.
Stay current on market trends, competitor positioning, and emerging capabilities to keep solutions competitive.
