Job summary

Databricks is seeking Solutions Architects to drive adoption of the Databricks Unified Analytics Platform. You will design architectures, run proofs of concept, and guide customers from evaluation through implementation with cloud integrations and ML/AI workflows.

You will partner with sales, deliver technical leadership, and build reference architectures while traveling to customers in your region. Strong cloud, data engineering, and collaboration skills are required.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in a customer-facing pre-sales, technical architecture, or consulting role.
• Experience designing and architecting distributed data systems.
• Proficient in Python, Scala, Java, SQL, or R.
• Experience building solutions on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Knowledge of data engineering and data warehousing (Spark, Hadoop, Kafka; SQL/OLTP/OLAP/DSS).

Responsibilities

• Partner with sales to show how Databricks can solve business problems.
• Provide technical leadership for evaluating and adopting Databricks.
• Design architectures and run proof-of-concepts for data science and ML projects.
• Build reference architectures, how-tos, and demos for customers.
• Promote Databricks open-source projects across developer communities.
• Travel to customers in the region.
