Job summary

Databricks is seeking a Solutions Architect to drive adoption of the Databricks Unified Analytics Platform for customer-specific data challenges. You will craft architectures, lead proofs of concept, and guide customers from concept to implementation, partnering with sales to build relationships and deliver strategic value.

You will collaborate with open-source projects like Apache Spark, MLflow, and Delta Lake, and travel up to 30% to customer sites as required.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in a customer-facing pre-sales, technical architecture, or consulting role.
• Experience designing and architecting distributed data systems.
• Comfortable programming in and debugging at least one of Python, Scala, Java, SQL, or R.
• Built solutions with public cloud providers (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Experience in data engineering, data warehousing, or data science/machine learning technologies.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership to customers evaluating Data and AI solutions from Databricks.
• Consult on big data architecture and proofs of concept for strategic projects.
• Build and present reference architectures, guides, and demos for customers.
• Provide escalated support for critical customer issues.
• Advocate Databricks open-source projects across developer communities.
