Job summary

Databricks is seeking Solutions Architects to lead the growth of the Databricks Data Intelligence Platform. This is a customer-facing role working with customers, product, post-sales, and partners to identify use cases, develop architectures, and guide implementations to achieve meaningful outcomes.

You will build relationships, champion Databricks technologies such as Apache Spark, Delta Lake, MLflow, and Unity Catalog, and travel to client sites in your territory.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in a customer-facing pre-sales or consulting role with big-data tech.
• Experience designing and architecting distributed data systems.
• Proficient in Python, SQL, Scala, Java, or R.
• Experience with public cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Experience with Spark, Hadoop, Kafka.
• Experience with SQL OLTP/OLAP/DSS.
• Undergraduate degree in engineering or mathematics.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the sales team to explain Databricks value to customers.
• Provide technical leadership for customers to evaluate and adopt Databricks.
• Consult on big data architecture and run proofs of concepts for strategic projects.
• Build and present reference architectures, how-tos, and demos for customers.
• Become an expert in open source projects (Spark, Delta Lake, MLflow, Unity Catalog) and promote them in communities.
• Travel to meet customers in your territory.
