Job summary

Databricks is seeking a Solutions Architect in Denver to lead customer engagements, design architectures, and guide deployment of the Databricks Unified Analytics Platform.

You will work with sales, post-sales, product, and engineering to translate business needs into scalable data solutions, travel to customers in the region, and champion open-source projects such as Spark, Delta Lake, and MLflow.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in a customer-facing pre-sales or technical architecture role.
• Experience designing distributed data systems.
• Proficiency with AWS, Azure, or GCP cloud platforms.
• Programming in Python/Scala/Java/SQL/R with debugging skills.
• Degree in a quantitative discipline preferred.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the sales team to help customers understand how Databricks can help solve their business problems.
• Provide technical leadership for customers to evaluate and adopt Databricks.
• Consult on big data architecture, implement proofs of concept, and validate integrations.
• Build and present reference architectures, how-tos, and demo applications.
• Become an expert in Databricks open-source projects (Spark, Delta Lake, MLflow) across communities.
• Travel to customers in your region.
