Job summary

Databricks is seeking Solutions Architects to lead customer-facing pre-sales and technical architectures for the Databricks Unified Analytics Platform. You will design architectures across cloud providers, guide deployments, and translate business needs into scalable data solutions using Spark, Delta Lake, MLflow, and related tech.

You will collaborate with sales, product, and post-sales teams, build references, present demos, and travel to customers in your region.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in a customer-facing pre-sales, technical architecture, or consulting role.
• Experience designing distributed data systems.
• Proficient in at least one: Python, Scala, Java, SQL, or R.
• Experience building solutions on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Knowledge of Spark, Hadoop, Kafka.
• Knowledge of SQL-based data warehousing (OLTP/OLAP).
• Nice-to-have finance services experience.
• Degree in a quantitative field (CS, math, OR).

Responsibilities

• Partner with sales to demonstrate Databricks value to customers.
• Provide technical leadership to evaluate and adopt Databricks.
• Consult on big data architectures and proof-of-concepts.
• Build reference architectures, how-tos, and demo applications.
• Promote Databricks open-source projects across developer communities.
• Travel to customers within your region.
