Job summary

Databricks is seeking a Solutions Architect to lead pre-sales for the Databricks Unified Analytics Platform in a customer-facing role. You will partner with sales, deliver reference architectures, and guide customers from concept through implementation across data engineering, analytics, ML, and AI projects.

You will collaborate with product teams, post-sales, and partners to architect solutions on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), evangelize open-source tools, and travel within your territory

Qualifications

• 7+ years in a customer-facing pre-sales or consulting role with big-data tech.
• Experience designing and architecting distributed data systems.
• Proficient in Python, SQL, Scala, Java, or R.
• Experience with public cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Experience with data engineering tech (Spark, Hadoop, Kafka).
• Experience with data warehousing tech (SQL OLTP/OLAP).
• Undergraduate or higher in engineering or mathematics.

Responsibilities

• Lead customer engagements to understand business needs and translate them into scalable data architectures.
• Provide technical leadership to evaluate and adopt Databricks platform solutions.
• Develop and present reference architectures, proofs-of-concept, and solution demonstrations.
• Collaborate with sales, product, and post-sales teams to drive customer success.
• Promote Databricks and open-source technologies across communities and at events.
