Job summary

Databricks is seeking a Solutions Architect to drive value for customers by designing architectures on the Databricks platform, leading technical engagements, and guiding customers through implementation. The role collaborates with sales, product, and post-sales teams to deliver meaningful business outcomes.

You will work with open source technologies like Apache Spark, Delta Lake, MLflow, and Unity Catalog, build reference architectures, and share best practices at meetups and conferences.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in a customer-facing pre-sales or consulting role.
• Experience designing distributed data systems.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Background with Spark, Hadoop, Kafka for data engineering.
• Experience with SQL-based data warehousing (OLTP/OLAP/DSS).

Responsibilities

• Partner with the sales team to show how Databricks solves business problems.
• Provide technical leadership to evaluate and adopt Databricks.
• Consult on big data architectures and run proofs-of-concept.
• Build reference architectures, how-tos, and demonstrations for customers.
• Promote open source projects across developer communities.
• Travel to meet customers in your territory.
