Job summary

Databricks is seeking a Solutions Architect to drive customer adoption of the Databricks Unified Analytics Platform. You will lead technical discussions, design architectures, and guide customers through implementation, building champions and trusted advisor relationships in a customer-facing capacity.

You will collaborate with sales, post-sales, and product teams, travel to customer sites, and become an expert in Spark, Delta Lake, MLflow, and Koalas across communities.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in a customer-facing pre-sales, technical architecture, or consulting role.
• Experience designing and architecting distributed data systems.
• Comfortable programming in Python, Scala, Java, SQL, or R.
• Have built solutions with public cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Data Engineering technologies (Spark, Hadoop, Kafka).
• Data Warehousing (SQL, OLTP/OLAP/DSS).
• Experience supporting Financial Services clients is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the sales team to help customers understand how Databricks can help solve their business problems.
• Provide technical leadership for customers to evaluate and adopt Databricks.
• Consult on big data architecture, implement proofs of concept for strategic projects, data science and ML projects, and validate cloud integrations.
