Job summary

Temporal is seeking a Solutions Architect to be the primary customer-facing technical leader for the Majors team (West). You will guide prospects and customers through evaluation, architecture and implementation considerations to expand production use of Temporal.

You will partner with Account Executives to support land-and-expand motions, manage key technical relationships and position Temporal against alternatives and patterns while traveling 25-50% as needed.

Qualifications

• Excellent technical communication including presenting, whiteboarding and writing.
• Deep understanding of distributed systems, design principles and best practices.
• Proficiency in building prototypes and providing design, development, build and deployment guidance across Temporal languages.
• Strong grasp of production considerations: security, reliability, performance, cost and operations.
• Ability to guide customers through complex architectural decisions and patterns.

Responsibilities

• Present, whiteboard and write up architectural guidance for prospects and customers.
• Lead technical evaluations and architecture discussions.
• Collaborate with AEs to manage land and expand opportunities.
• Provide guidance on patterns and platform architectures for production environments.
• Travel 25-50% to support customers and opportunities.
