Job summary

Temporal is seeking a Solutions Architect for the Majors team (Central) to work directly with prospects and customers, guiding them on the suitability of their applications for Temporal’s platform and showcasing the technical advantages of our cloud service.

You will position Temporal against competitors, help customer engineering teams expand production applications using Temporal, and own the technical relationship with key decision-makers. Travel 25-50% is expected.

Qualifications

• Reside within the Central time zone (US) with strong preference for Chicago/Dallas/Minneapolis.
• Exceptional technical communication across staff-level to VP/CTO narratives.
• Deep understanding of distributed systems, design principles and best practices.
• Proficiency in building prototypes and providing design/development/guidance using Temporal-supported languages.
• Experience with at least one major cloud provider and production services.
• Ability to act as a strategic technical advisor to Sales and assist with scoping opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with prospects to determine if their applications fit Temporal’s platform.
• Educate customers on the technical benefits and limitations of Temporal and its cloud service.
• Position Temporal as an enterprise development standard against competitors and patterns.
• Foster adoption and expansion of Temporal in production environments within customer engineering teams.
• Partner with Account Executives to develop and execute comprehensive account plans.
• Manage and nurture relationships with technical decision-makers in customer organizations.
• Create reusable technical assets, reference architectures, playbooks, and demos for other Solution Architects.
• Travel expected to be 25-50%.
