Job summary

Docker, Inc. is seeking a highly consultative Principal Solutions Architect to support strategic customers and drive technical and business value across pre and post sales motions.

You will partner with Account Executives, Solutions Engineers, Post Sales, and Product teams to deliver customer-focused outcomes, develop engagement plans, and lead design partnerships with cross-functional Docker teams.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Sales Engineer, Solutions Engineer, or Solution Architect in complex enterprise environments.
• Excellent communication, influence, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience interfacing with internal product/software teams to enhance enablement and product features.
• Experience developing collateral to assist customers with best-practice adoption.
• Solid understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and container ecosystems.
• Experience with Docker, container ecosystems, or adjacent technologies.
• Must be fluent in English and able to travel up to 50% domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Be a trusted technical lead supporting Docker's most important customers.
• Engage with account executives, solutions engineers, and product teams to drive value.
• Create and manage engagement plans spanning current products and new offerings.
• Oversee rapid prototyping engagements to validate customer-product fit for new use cases.
• Deliver high-impact enablement content to audiences from developers to C-level.
• Travel up to 50% to engage with clients and partners.
