Job summary

Leidos in Huntsville is seeking a Software Test Engineer to advance automated testing, build robust test infrastructures, and support integration and fielding of mission-critical software for guided munition systems.

The role emphasizes mentoring junior engineers, coordinating with the software IPT lead, and ongoing communication with customers and team members to uphold the highest quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in software/engineering with GPA 3.0+.
• 12+ years with BS or 10+ with MS in software/testing roles.
• U.S. citizen and eligible for DoD clearance.
• Experience testing embedded software and interfaces with embedded systems.
• Resident of North Alabama or willing to relocate to Huntsville area.
• Proven leadership of software test teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead test planning, strategy and design for the program.
• Review, edit and generate documents for engineering/testing per industry standards.
• Provide software test leadership, mentoring, and IPT representation.
• Communicate with customers, end users, and team members regularly.
