Job summary

SimVentions is seeking a mid-level to senior software-focused Systems Engineer to support software systems engineering for aviation programs. This on-site role is located at the NAVAIR base in Pax River, MD and requires an ACTIVE Secret clearance with potential for Top Secret.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in software and systems engineering, familiarity with military avionics, and experience with MBSE and Agile/SAFe processes. The job begins after a future funding date.

Qualifications

• At least ten years experience performing software and systems engineering activities.
• Experience with military aircraft avionic systems and/or software.
• BS in a technical discipline from an ABET accredited program.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain software requirements.
• Review and evaluate vendor software specifications.
• Coordinate with vendors on software and system integration.
• Conduct analysis of software defects.
• Participate in Agile and SAFe team processes.
