Job summary

SimVentions is seeking a mid-level to senior software-focused Systems Engineer to perform software systems engineering for aviation programs. This full-time, on-site role supports the NAVAIR base in Patuxent River, MD.

An active Secret clearance is required, with potential upgrade to Top Secret after starting. Applicants should have at least ten years of software and systems engineering experience, and familiarity with military avionics systems.

Qualifications

• Ten years or more of software and systems engineering experience.
• Experience with military aircraft avionics systems and/or software.
• Active Secret clearance required (Top Secret possible later).
• US Citizenship required to obtain clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain software requirements and review vendor specifications.
• Coordinate with vendors on software and system integration.
• Analyze software defects and support cybersecurity activities.
• Participate in SE Technical Reviews (SRRs, PDRs, CDRs, etc.) and in Agile/SAFe processes.
• Prepare Statements of Work (SOWs) and Contract Deliverable Lists (CDRLs).
• Support IGCEs and contractor technical evaluations.
