Job summary
SimVentions is seeking a mid-level to senior software-focused Systems Engineer to perform software systems engineering for the acquisition, development and sustainment of various aviation programs. This on-site role is based at the NAVAIR base in Patuxent River, MD and requires an active Secret clearance with potential for TS clearance later.
The candidate should have 10+ years of software and systems engineering experience, including familiarity with military avionics systems and Agile/SAFe
Qualifications
- At least ten years experience performing software and systems engineering activities.
- Experience with military aircraft avionic systems and/or software.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain software requirements.
- Review and evaluate vendor software specifications.
- Coordinate with vendors on software and system integration.
- Conduct analysis of software defects.
- Coordinate with cybersecurity subject matter experts.
- Participate in System Engineering Technical Reviews (SRRs, SSRs, PDRs, CDRs, TRRs, etc.).
- Support the Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) process.
- Participate in Agile and SAFe team processes.
- Prepare and review Statements of Work (SOWs) and Contract Deliverable Requirements Lists (CDRLs).
- Develop Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCEs).
- Support technical evaluations of Contractor proposals.
