Job summary

SimVentions, Inc is seeking a mid-level to senior software-focused Systems Engineer to perform software systems engineering for aviation programs. This full-time, on-site role is based at the NAVAIR base in PAX River, MD, with an ACTIVE Secret clearance required and potential Top Secret in the future.

The position is future funded and expected to begin no earlier than September 1, 2026, offering a challenging environment that combines software, systems engineering, and cybersecurity

Qualifications

• Ten years of experience in software and systems engineering.
• Experience with military aircraft avionic systems and/or software.
• Active Secret clearance required, potential Top Secret later.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain software requirements.
• Review and evaluate vendor software specifications.
• Coordinate with vendors on software and system integration.
• Conduct analysis of software defects.
• Coordinate with cybersecurity subject matter experts.
• Participate in System Engineering Technical Reviews (SRRs, SSRs, PDRs, CDRs, TRRs, etc.).
• Support the ECP process and develop SOWs/CDRLs.
• Develop IGCEs and support contractor evaluations.
