Ford Motor Company’s EVDD team seeks a Senior Software Engineering Manager in Ford Pro Intelligence to guide a talented software engineering organization. You will lead managers and engineers delivering scalable, customer-focused software for commercial fleets, with emphasis on frontend UX and backend APIs.

You will shape technical direction, ensure quality delivery, and foster an innovative, collaborative environment to advance Ford’s connected services and EV initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 12 years in software development with proficiency in Java, Python, C, or Go.
• 5 years in senior leadership roles managing teams and delivering software products.
• 5 years leading browser-based applications with strong UI/UX understanding and modern JS frameworks.
• 5 years cloud experience (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• 3 years leading API design, SOA, and microservices.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering managers and teams delivering end-to-end software products at scale.
• Provide performance feedback, coaching, and development opportunities.
• Oversee planning, execution, and delivery within time and budget constraints.
• Lead cross-functional scope including front-end UI/UX and back-end APIs.
• Collaborate with product, design, and engineering partners to set priorities.
• Identify risks, dependencies, and drive issue resolution.
• Participate in recruiting and evaluating product architectures.
